Kingsland Disc Golf Course

Please help us get a disc golf course started in Kingsland, GA. We are 30 miles north of Jacksonville, FL and would like to have as much support as we can possibly get. As of right now we have spoken to some non-profit organizations that may be able to get some funding, but as we all know, with the economy the way it is, it will be hard to get support from the City of Kingsland. We have been told that we will need at least 1200 signatures for this to be a possibility. We are looking at building an 18-hole course, as a minimum, that will be designed by a professional designer. On another note I thought it was going to be in kings Island Amusement park in Ohio...damn that would have been sweet. Design it yourself and have some local pro tweak it. It will save you some cash.

Well, as of right now, we have the land, the equipment to make it, all we need is the money for the baskets and signs. Toad McReynolds is the designer. We are working out the final tweaks on the layout and hope to be done by mid June, early July. Gonna be a tough course!

It will be in Crooked River State Park. The problem we are having at the moment is that we have been given so much land to use, we are having a tough time deciding what the layout will be. We could easily have each hole at 600-700ft! We are diligently working on our layout though. Gotta make it fair for everyone and at the same time fun for new people. I'll try to keep everyone updated.
