Petal, MS has a Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. They hear ideas and suggestions from the general public and city employees and make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen. Back in the spring, the president of our local club made a presentation to the committee on installing a new course. After waiting months for soil sample testing, we have permission to start designing the layout for a new course in Petal, MS.
We are currently scouting out the property and plan on having the layout design by the first of December. We will present the layout to the committee at the December meeting. If approved by the committee will present the plan to the Board of Aldermen at their next meeting.
