Early history of PGA National Disc Golf Course.First PDGA event was the 1st Annual Palm Beach Open, March 3rd and 4th, 1990. Course designed by Glenn Dooner 4242. Tournament Directer Glenn Dooner. 17 total entrants, 12 pros with a purse of $1,887, giving it a high p/$ ratio (pros/dollar) of $98.90! 18 portable baskets brought in by crews from Sarasota, Gainesville, Orlando, Palm bay/Melborne and Palm Beach. Winner in the open was John Andrews 2612 from Palm Bay. 2nd place Kenny Climo 4297 out of Sarasota. This is the same year Kenny won his first of 13 world championships and a total of 19 world titles! The small field of 12 pros had 4 of them becoming future world Champions! In the field of 4 Masters, Marshall Scibner 1128 won by 2 strokes.
