Post Photos of Holes You've Created With Your Practice Baskets

Now this is a tunnel shot

This was set up at the entrance to the tunnel on the Road to Nowhere. Distance from tee to basket was approximately 1300'.

I like this thread. I do stuff like this all the time in my head. 'Oh that'd be a great place for a huge dogleg...'

Here are a few I set up last evening (did a full 9-hole temp setup) at a conservation area along Lake Michigan. Since I was out there solo, I went pretty conservative on the layout, although with a few extra folks I definitely would've been more aggressive! Of course, I didn't get any distances; they were all reachable with a mid/putter except for #9, but most were really tricky because of the prevailing winds off of the lake. Full album here

Willow Cove, Santa Catalina Island, 2008
Pacific Ocean is just out of the picture on the left. We actually kayaked to this beach/campsite and strapped the skillshot onto the kayak.

Thanks! :hfive:

Like I said, I could've set up some real awesome holes if I had a few more people with and if the conservation area wasn't so untouched...some of the best land out there had knee- to waist-high grass, and I sure wasn't going to set up temp holes there just to get a DG fix! I've been considering proposing a course there for a while, but again...parks departments can be pretty picky, especially with a county park designated as a conservation area. Oh well, maybe I can at least get a bunch of DGers with portables to come out some weekend and set up a full course for a fun event! I wore myself out hauling that basket around by myself, and I didn't even utilize the beach or the creek that drains into Lake Michigan!

I might be headed up to Wisconsin in the not too distant future...I'll let you know and maybe we can set something up.

I've posted some of these before, I hope it is okay to post them again. Can't wait to shoot some more.

Nothing great, but this is one of the holes I play at my practice field. The trees at back of my practice field lets me leave the basket in one place, and make up all kinds of different holes. This one is only about 170ft. More to come. I will take my better camera out there, this was taken with my cell phone
