his Ice Bowl, in it's second year, signifies and great success for disc golf at Reidy Creek. Last year at this time, discs flew here for the first time and since then the disc golf community has made a HUGE improvement in the financial stability for the golf course, so we appreciate everyone playing practice rounds and events there in the past year!!!!!
This event is part of the Golden Sombrero Series made possible with the help of the San Diego Aces, Reidy Creek Staff and the City of Escondido and is one of (at least) 20 events in this year's series. Proceeds from your entry fee, mulligan sales and raffle ticket sales will go towards our charity, the North County Food Bank. Last year we raised over $2,200 to support families in need.
The food bank can feed four hungry people for $1 - much more return than our purchased canned goods. So don't go to Costco and buy a case of chicken noodle soup (spend your cash on raffle tickets...).
The meat and potatoes:
- 18 holes, Par TBD (layout under construction - but most likely around 58)
- Entry fee gets you a players pack with Innova Golden Sombrero Series tournament stamped disc, three Mulligan/Raffle Tickets and misc swag. Entry Fees are dependent on division.
- Raffle Prizes TBD
- Additional Mulligans may be purchased for $1/ea
- 7:30am check-in, 8:30 players meeting, Shotgun start to follow approximately 9am.
- This is a walking event, carts are not included. Carts may be made available on case-by-case basis to those truly in need, subject to TD review.
- Reidy Creek bar will have food and beverages available for purchase. $6 for hotdog, chips and a drink or $8 for burgers or chicken sandwiches, chips and a drink.
