I live 20 minutes from Whistlers and it is my sanctuary. If it were near Portland everyone in the US would know of it. Instead I sometimes can play a round on a weekday and not see another soul while enjoying a world class challenging course with lots of wildlife. Nate Sexton comes out almost every year to play his only non sanctioned event of the because it is that special. 20 minutes off I5 in southern oregon east of roseburg in Glide. Camping in phenomenal, fishing, river floats of an hour that come back almost where you start from.... its just special.
