This is a League hosted by Hocking College Outdoor Pursuits. The buy in is optional, it is set up this way to encourage new players to join up and grow the sport.

Cost:
Free or optional $3 buys in for those that are interested

Payout:
The way this will work is that if you pay an entry fee you will compete for a prize and if you do not pay an entry fee you will participate in friendly competition and fun, but no prize. Example: if Chuck (B Tier) and Brian (A Tier) win the round and Brian paid entry fee, but Chuck does not pay entry fee then Brian takes the 1st place prize. If both pay entry fee they split the 1st place prize. If neither player on the winning team pays entry fee, then the prizes go to 2nd place team or the next down the line with a player who paid entry.

Payout with be (# of players) x $3. We will have a payout chart that pays about %50 of the field. We don't have an exact payout scale, but a percentage chart from PDGA.com will be used. We round up each calculated number, for even payouts. The same system will be used each week.

Ace Fund:
Optional $1 for the ace fund. This pays out to only the individual(s) that get an ace not the team. If no ace is hit, the fund rolls over till next week. The ace fund grows weekly, but each pot is capped at $50, once capped a new one will be started. If no ace is hit by the end of the Summer League (September 20, 2011), there will be a Closest to the Pin(CTP) for it or any remaining ace pot(s). If multiple aces are hit in one night they will be splitting one ace pot, only one cash pot is available each week.

Choosing Teams:
Teams will be chosen randomly via drawing playing cards. One stack of cards to advanced players, the other stack to intermediate players. All players draw out of their respective stacks, and 2 cards will match each other - adv with int. If there are disproportionate numbers of either side, people will be moved one way or the other according to skill to make the numbers right. If an odd number is there, either 3 intermediates will play on a team, or 1 advance will play with a mulligan per hole.

Mulligan rule: The solo player is allowed one mulligan per hole; they chose the better of the two shots.

Game Play:
We will be playing one round of "best disc" formatted doubles on the Hocking College Courses regular tees. We will be playing regular out of bounds and water hazard rules. The Last Tuesday of the Month we will be playing the long pads.

Ties:
Will be settled only for money paying positions. Tied team will have a sudden death play off starting on hole one, playing holes 1,2,16,17,18, until a winner is decided. As soon as a team strokes less then the other they have won the tie.

Newbie Participation: We want this to be very friendly and encouraging to new players. If a very inexperienced player wishes to participate, he/she is more than welcome. They will be encouraged to play for free as part of a 3 person team, but without payout. Otherwise, they can enter the random pairing as anyone else.

Note: That the first few weeks will be a glow round, we will post a notice when this changes.

All Decisions by the Doubles Director are final!! .
