Trying to improve efficiency and distance

Hi,
thanks for any advice anyone is willing to offer. I am an 18 year old and have been playing for about 1 year now. I started the disc golf club at my college and play roughly 15 rounds a week. I have been maxing out around 420 ft and am looking for the extra edge. Also I am trying to smooth out my release, there tends to be some wobble most notably with putters. Any advice moving forward would be much appreciated.

Put some shoes on man! You are not turning back enough and/or planting closed/balanced more from behind. You also turn your body leaving your rear arm hanging back.




 
Thanks for the help, I spent some time with these drills and practice the last week or so. I think I'm starting to at least see what I'm doing wrong. I'm definitely still having trouble loading my hips fully, and reaching back without rounding during my downswing. I am feeling progress so far however. Sorry I don't have shoes on again, the heat has just been brutal lately. Here is my most recent link:

Slowly making process, here is the first vid of 2017. Seems to me like Im turning my hips too early? and maybe still not getting to my bracing heel quick enough. Ive spent some time working on the trailing arm, hopefully that has made improvements. Still wondering specifically where in my upperbody timing/grip that I am missing out on the hit. As always any feedback is great!

Looking better. You are leaning away from the target too much and turning backward a little early and swinging before your weight shifts into the plant. You are going to kick the wall in the Hershyzer before your butt/weight hits the wall. In door frame part 3 you will see where you should be keeping the disc(still/in place) while you stride into the plant. The Hershyzer and Door Frame should put you into about the same position.



 
Here is another take, I plan on filming myself more frequently over the next few days/weeks. I still am not feeling like I am leading enough with my butt, and I am clearly really struggling with keeping the nose down on the disc. I have been trying to set my wrist nose down before the throw, but that didnt seem to fix the problem. Should I be doing that? I assume that once I get my weight shifted more to the front that should help with keeping the nose down?
First couple minutes of this video are drivers 350-400 ish, and last minute or so is putters/mids on 200 foot upshots. Thanks for all your help

Yes, weight forward helps nose down. You still need to turn further back in the Door Frame Drills. You barely have your shoulders turned back when you plant.
 
I am getting my shoulders rotated 90 degrees away from the target, am I just initiating the upperbody too early with respect to the plant?
 
Must keep turning your shoulders/body further back than 90 all the way into the plant. Closer to 135 degrees turned back - your rear shoulder should be closer to the target than your throwing shoulder so there is a pendulum motion of your throwing shoulder behind and forward of your center of mass and chin while your front foot is planted. See Door Frame #1 and One Leg Drills.
 
Is this shoulder motion better? I also looked back at the beato drill, and focused on getting off my back foot at the peak of my reach back in order to shift to the front sooner. Does this seam to be in the correct direction?

Yep, now stop spinning your front foot open before you plant. Will S actually turns his foot in the closed direction into the plant so your front foot is spinning in the opposite direction. You also end up planting really flat footed because of that spin which also messes with your weightshift - you want to land on your toes first and then the heel should plant forward with your weight. Your rear foot also looks a little too backward, so your stride is more backward than sideways/lateral which forces you turn open early.


 
It's been a while since my last post on this thread, but i havent stopped working on my form! Looking back on it now i still need to work on both of the two previous comments above, but this definitely feels like an improvement. Here is a shot from behind. still clearly need to work on nose angles. My focus lately has been on not leaning back during the reach back.

Yeah need to turn your body further back in the Door Frame Drills more upright and extend the arm/disc further away from you, and plant front foot turned slightly back away from target.
 
Looks to me like you may be spinning out the rear foot? Like from the side view you could put your cursor on the rear knee and it would stay in place while the rear leg spins on its axis, and pushes through the spine/over the top instead of driving the weight forward underneath your hips. I'm not seeing a shift and recoil action, it just looks a bit too "easy" through the whole shot rather than leveraged and recoil.

I agree with door frame drill as a good one to be more upright and feel yourself leverage through your rear leg, to help your body weight drop rather than to help your arm pull. The body weight will pull against the door frame, with added leverage through the rear leg.
