60 some-odd holes of disc golf for a good reason
The finest disc golf holes in North, South, and Mid-City Big Spring-are available for your play, all in one day.
We are hosting a Disc Golf Event on Feb. 26, 2011
Originally slated to be an "Ice Bowl" we changed our charitable aim on Dec. 19, 2010 when Rich Neefe and Wendy Riffe and their children were entering their vehicle, after eating dinner at a restaurant, when they were hit by a minivan. Rich, Wendy, Haley and Aaron were relatively unhurt. Shauna and Brent (facial lacerations and broken leg) were also fairly unscathed. Wesley caught the brunt of it. Rich said, "All we could see was his head. He was pinned between the front end of the minivan and the broad side of the Suburban. " Wesley sustained many injuries and broken bones (punctured lung, fractured pelvis, both clavicles, ribs, femur, etc.) and spent days in the ICU in Lubbock and is now back in Lubbock for skin grafts.
And that's sugar coating his injuries and treatments.
If you can help us out, come play a lot of diverse holes
and drop some money in the kitty for Wesley.
This is the first event on Rich's Ravine, the 20 hole private course in Northwest Metropolitan Big Spring. Hanging basket, dangerously challenging short holes, "Where the h###'s the basket" long holes, and cliffs everywhere- you'll love it!! And that'll be the last course played. We'll start at Comanche Trail Park for 27, then Birdwell Park for 9 or 18(depending on time) and then Rich's. Payout will be sparse, but Event hoodies for first, long sleeve T's for second, and T's for third. We are going to ask for $40 (but would be willing to adjust that) a person entry fee.
We will have other money spending opportunities for you available.
Closest to basket, ring of fire etc. ( after we figure them out) Thanks.
Registration 8-9am @ CTP Contact Greg Brooks 432-528-5076
Opportunities to come earlier and help with course maintenance at R.R. are available Contact Greg or Jerry Rushin
