This would suck if you got some jerk that just wanted to put them into positions that suited thier game, be it long or short, left or right. Otherwise I think it sounds like a cool idea.

They change the positions here religiously, but amazingly the course plays well every time.

They're just park courses, but they really do a great job locally at making it fresh all the time. This is just icing.

The tee positions are set up surprisingly well, so making it a lefty/righty/shortarm course won't work.

Not a top ten course by any means, but I know there are positions I would rather not see for a week....

Both very nice 9 hole courses, that can play rather tricky depending upon positions and OB's played.
