Pros:
- Private course for disc golf only purposes
- Tee signs are crude, corrugated cardboard with small map, hole number and distance on them
- Mix of baskets are in working order and mix of tee pads mostly grass though
- Navigation is through Udisc although the owner often plays with first timers to the course
- Smaller piece of land uses neighbors yards as well to ad a few holes over 400 feet
- Some really technical shots through the forest add challenge and fun
- Lots of OB including a large pond that is present on many holes
- An actual island hole where you have to take a boat across to finish out the hole which is the first time I've seen that which is very neat
- A good mix and variety of different throws
- Bad drives are punished with thick underbrush and OB
- Well stocked pro shop in Dane's garage
Cons:
- Lots of crossing of fairways make this place very hard to play when there are multiple groups on it
- 25 holes is way too many for this small piece of property and reducing some unneeded holes will help with crossing of fairways and tee pads, perhaps a very good 12-15 hole course is here
- You can throw basically the same shot over and over when not in the wooded section of the course and feels redundant at times
- Not open on Sundays or anytime before noon any day of the week
- $5 to play all day or buy something in his pro shop isn't too bad but perhaps a seasonal pass would be nice for frequent visitors
Other Thoughts:
Overall a very good private course that is a blast to play. I was fortunate enough to play the Glitch World Championship Qualifier here with my regular play group and we had a fantastic and memorable day trying to throw 145g lids into 15 MPH headwinds haha! A few Glitches ended up in the pond and I got wet trying to get in and out of the boat but wouldn't change it for the world. If you get a chance to meet up with Dane and play here, do it!
