Other Thoughts:
Bear Creek plays in Memorial Park in the heart of the small town of Shellsburg, IA. 6 baskets fill a small city park. The course was designed by the Wildcat Bluff Volunteers. It's only about 5-6 miles straight north of Shellsburg to get to Wildcat, so this could be a short warm up before hitting the big course. This is a beginner course, short, not much for obstacles or elevation. A good place to teach the game. It can also be a good place to work on your short game and putts. It's a nice little park Bear Creek bubbling by on the north. There is a walking path that circles the park and would be in play on all but Hole #3. Enjoy an ace run or two, teach others how to play. Not a destination, but a potential warm up for bigger things. I might play here again, if waiting on a tournament tee time up north.
