Pros:
Excellent beginner/Intermediate course. Variety of shot selection required to post a decent score, due to a rogue tree here and there. Technical shots at a premium, to set up short putts, otherwise, over par is in your future.
A wonderful course to demonstrate to a beginner the refined art of shot placement.
Cons:
Only one - there is no way the distance on hole 8 is now at posted 255. This looks like a typo. Perhaps 155, maybe?
Other Thoughts:
I loved the review on Cuthbertson Middle School provided by Charlotte area course designer Extraordinaire Stan McDaniel that I will be quoting it almost without fail, " I would like to [conclude my] review with the wish that beginner/school courses had different criteria for their ratings. Otherwise how can a short beginner course get a high review?
The course is EXACTLY what it advertises. A very nice beginner course with tight lines and good putting requirements in order to score well. This is definitely a course where an errant tree branch, or 5 ft off-line could mean the difference between a birdie and a bogey.
