I really like the Blue layout, its very difficult off of the tees trying to hit gaps, reach baskets and throwing over the marsh on a few holes. For all tees its a pinball machine in the woods with the heavy trees. Then there's the rollers when putting. You get a break on 9 thru 10, and 16.. I give the layout a 4.5 mostly on blue, and that's where my overall rating is anchored on.
It takes about an hour to play red, 75 min to play white, and 90 mins blue.
Roller baskets: 1, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15. Depending on the angle, they can be death putts into the marsh or down a ravine.
Holes: 1, 2/blue, 3-5, 8, 14-15, and 18 are a variety of hitting a gap and tunnel shots.
Featured Holes:
No. 6 Blue Par 3 375 feet from the open to woods. 30 foot gap at 100 feet down. Down ravine and back up, the shelf is about 240 feet out, at that point dog legs left. In the ravine is canopy and heavy trees with brush on both sides of fairway. from shelf theirs heavy trees to the basket with very small gaps to get there. The basket may not be seen from shelf and is to the right, at 20 feet from basket the shelf drops. Death putt.
No 11. Blue Par 4 489 feet. Tee from open fairway to heavy woods that look like a picket fence. The fairway on left is lined with oak trees. The fence is about 300 feet out, the fairway then down slopes to basket in heavy woods. The basket is a lazy roller. From tee hug the oaks hitting the 15 foot gap on left at fence, best path to basket.
No. 12. Blue Par 3 309 feet? Maybe 270? Very shallow and small ravine gently down and back up to shelf about 120 feet out. Then back down to basket with a clutter of trees with small gaps to a lazy roller. From tee heavy trees and brush down fairway 15 feet wide. At 90 feet 2 large pines left fairway, and to the right two smaller pines on right about 5 feet forward, and a 6 foot gap. RHBH has an advantage over LHBH. Good luck!
No. 15 Blue Par 3, 322 feet tee is located in an open field throwing back into the heavy woods at 135 feet. The inviting gap is only 7 feet wide between thick pines. The fairway straight down is thick with skinny trees and some thick ones. The fairway is also crowned where the disc can skip in either direction down into a ravine. The basket is a roller, to the left just a few feet is a death putt into the swamp, to the right for 20 feet is a gentle slope into brush, but hot disc could roll into the swamp. It's a humbling experience on the tee to ready your throw. However, To the left of the pine at the gap is wider at 20 feet, it looks closed in when theirs foliage, but its leafy and the disc will slow a bit, but stay on course with a left to right after arriving into the woods. Still some trees to get by. The left to right will help bite into the crown of the fairway, and just slide some towards the swamp. The approach is thick with trees and need another gap, but you have the advantage with an approach or putt having the right side behind the basket with those 20 feet and backstop for any missed shot. I've pulled it off a few times either from blue or white.
No. 17 Blue Par 4 510 feet? Looks more like 410 feet. The tee is elevated over a grassy fairway that rises back up to a shelf about 5 feet higher than tee area. The shelf is about 210 feet and a straight shot, then a lazy dog leg right to basket. On right side of shelf from tee is blocked by heavy trees, on left is trees and brush. The landing area is about 20 feet wide, if you don't make the shelf, a roller may take you to the marsh. On approach its straight and narrow to the basket with the same 20 foot width. 5 feet behind basket is heavy brush.
Signature Hole No. 7, Blue Par 3 260 feet. Open tee across Marsh to a roller basket half way up hill. Tee is about 5 feet elevated above basket and a straight shot. The marsh is about 20 feet below. At the 70 foot mark is a 20 foot gap to reach marsh with heavy trees and brush on right, and marsh/creek on left. Its about 230 to reach other side of marsh. Above the last 30 feet is overhanging limbs. The wind plays a factor from the creek. I've had beautiful flights where the disc rises up, then drops just below the limbs. The basket can be parked to the right where the hill has a small ledge. Its a fun and challenging throw! And scenic.
Trouble Hole is No. 13 Blue Par 3 310 feet? Maybe about 360? The tee is elevated above the marsh, with the creek to the left. The right side of tee is block by brush about 10 feet out Your throwing to a shelf about 240 feet out, and elevated above you about 15 feet. To safely reach across the marsh you need at least 210 feet. Hit the wall to the shelf, a roller to the marsh or if your lucky can get hung on the wall. On the left over the marsh, on your way too the shelf is over hanging branches, so you can only get to the shelf on a right to left, the flight path is a lazy dog leg left. On top of the shelf, are a handful of skinny trees in the middle with two gaps. The gap on the left is about 20 feet wide, the right 10 feet. Hit the trees in the middle, you may roll back in the marsh. Pass the trees on the shelf, is a clear path to the basket. The hole is very challenging and scenic. The huge pine tree that you see in the white tee photo that also blocked shots, is no longer there, it came crashing down recently, and after I had taken the photo.
