Course is only slightly muddy in a few spots, but overall plays well.
This moderately wooded and hilly course sprawls across a secluded public park. There are a good variety of holes, though they fairly tight with thick underbrush surrounding. Challenging but fair, and rarely crowded.
Terrain can be steep and rough, and some areas can get muddy after rainfall so boots are recommended. Insect repellent also recommended. A new parking area opened 4/2012, so parking is much easier now.
Take MA-2 to exit 30 and head north on Merriam Ave. for .7 miles (Merriam turns into Whalon St, which becomes South St). Look for the Coggshall Park sign on the left, parking is immediately inside entrance.
Walk up the road 50 yards to green sign and the first tee is on your left.
