Pros:
Great variety of shots from technical to distance shots. Baskets and pads are in great shape. Well taken care of and the course is well broken in. Plenty of parking. And a recent addition is hole maps by each teepad with hole distances and directions to the next teepad.
Cons:
The park tends to get a little trashy but it has improved over the last few months.
Other Thoughts:
Front nine is, for the most part, shorter, more technical, and more rugged terrain than the back. Holes 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,15,16&17 all offer realistic birdie chances if you're technical game is good. #1 is @200 uphill over cedars and mesquites. Basket is guarded in front by large rocks and OB in the road on the right. #2 is about 265, slight right-left dogleg. Trees short left, left, and behind the basket. #3 is a pretty downhill shot, over the trees, with the basket on top of boulders that are @3' tall, @210'. #4 plays back up the same hill, over the cedar trees, to a basket guarded by a tree on top of the hill. Only about 185' but the elevation and tricky wind makes it longer. #5 is a short tricky shot. Only about 200' and flat. But OB right, a tree guarding the basket short right, and a nasty drop off left and behind the basket. #6 is tough little hole @230' downhill, into the wind usually, with a very tight landing area. (Local tip, overhead shot if you got it). Guarded on all sides by thick trees. If you miss short right, this is where the elephants go to die. #7 is @340' with a tight fairway. Trees right, OB left of the cable. #8 is about 240' with OB right, another elephant graveyard left, with a blind basket guarded by trees. #9 is about 360', uphill at the start, OB right and left. Basket is guarded by trees in front with OB right and behind the basket. #10 is about 450'. OB left on the road. Large trees in the middle and right side of the fairway. A large tree short right of the basket, with OB in the road behind. #11 is mando off the tee for tourney play. It's a triple mando, @ 30' across and 10' high. Hole plays about 340'. Basket is guarded by a treeline. Fairway is a small "valley" about 10' down. #12 is about 370'. OB left in the road. Large tree left side of the fairway. Beware the Christmas tree on the right side of the fairway. Large tree guarding the basket short right. OB behind and right of the basket. #13 is about 370' and plays over cedar trees with OB right. There is a treeline about 290' that is sneaky. Large tree left of the basket, OB right. #14 is the only hole with 2 teepads. Long pad is about 475' but plays much longer. OB right. TIGHT fairway. Large trees down the middle that basically make 2 fairways. Really tight, tunnel approach. The short pad has large trees right and left with the same right approach. #15 is another birdie chance. Only about 180'. Easy little putter throw. Dry creek bed right is not OB. #16 is a left to right shot about 220'. Tall grass down the middle, heavy trees behind and short right. OB past the fence behind the basket. #17 is about 275'. Tight from the tee, doglegs hard left. Basket is guarded by large trees left, right, and on top. OB in the road behind the basket. #18 is about 335' uphill. Really right teeshot. OB right. Trees line the fairway right, just off the pad and all along the left side of the fairway. Telephone pole in the middle and trees middle and right in the fairway. Open approach to the basket.
