Pros:
Has practice basket
Has driving range
Has pro shop
Has kiosk and course map posted
Has concrete tee pads
Has tee signs
Has many benches throughout course
Has next tee signs posted on baskets throughout - easy to navigate
Good mix of open and wooded fairways with doglegs and slight elevations
Quiet - had whole course to myself on a Saturday afternoon
Free parking
Porta potty
Water hose
Cons:
Few opportunities to lose discs here via OB barbed wire fencing at the water plant and cell tower - recommend backup discs or a disc retriever
Distance on many holes seem repetitive (all 15 par 3s are between 275-330ft long)
Lots of mosquitos here - bring some insect repellent
Other Thoughts:
This is a nice, challenging 18 hole course in Sandersville that I enjoyed playing on a Saturday afternoon. The first thing that I noticed was the driving range greeting me at the course entrance. With a driving range, practice basket, kiosk, and pro shop, one couldn't ask much more for amenities at a disc golf course. Unfortunately the pro shop was closed on the day I played. No major cons I can think of for this course. There are some areas with OB barbed wire fencing at the water plant at holes 5, 6, & 15 and cell tower and its guy-wires at holes 9, 12, & 13. There are signs that give you city hall's number to call if your disc goes over the fence. You may want to bring a disc retriever in case a disc lands in one of those small triangle-shaped OB areas where each guy-wire is anchored. As an earlier reviewer pointed out, the distance on many holes seem repetitive where all 15 par 3s are between 275-330 feet long. The three par 4s breaks that repetition but are clumped together at holes 9-11. Lots of mosquitos here as I may have been their only meal for the day since I didn't see anyone else out here. I feel that the signature hole may be hole 11 with a wide, rolling hill of overhead power lines that you can see the pro shop in the far off distance. This is an excellent course but tough one to bag due to its isolation from other courses. I made a day trip to this course and the other two in nearby Milledgeville - I definitely recommend this course over those.
