Pros:
Decent home made baskets
Great course terrain
Wide spectrum of shots needed
Solid bridges over the creek, although the one to get to 9's tee was pretty sketchy and in need of repair/cleaning up.
Cons:
rough, at the moment, the east side of the course had not been mowed in months.
Many of the tee markers were damaged or gone
A couple of wide open holes
Other Thoughts:
I was warned before I headed that way that the west side of the course had not been mowed in months and the grass would be tall. To be honest, it was not as bad as I expected, although if you look at my pictures you can see the back side needs some love.
This is a private course, call before you go and get permission to play. The owner sent me a map, showed me where to park and a picture of where score cards/donation box was located.
This course has a little bit of everything. You have several holes that are open and you can air it out.
Some big dog leg holes. A coupled of tunnel shots.
There were several memorable holes, the signature hole to throw I think was hole #9. The bridge to the tee was in bad shape, but was solid. You tee off over the creek to a narrow fairway with the creek drop off on the left. There is even a ladder to climb down if you throw over the edge. A big arm player might attempt to throw for the 2, I elected to throw a mid fairway shot, then the upshot.
Hole 14 is deceptive, you can't see the pond in front of the basket from the tee. This is a true risk reward shot,
Hole 18 plays to an island surrounded by the circular driveway.
Would I play here again? Yes I would, specially if it was cleaned up. This was a fun course with some interesting challenges. I recommend playing this course if you are in the area for sure, there is not a course like it anywhere around the area.
