Pros:
As you turn into what you think is Ewing Park, you'll find a large, white unimpressive building, like a storage unit. Drive in past this structure and you arrive at the actual park. The disc golf course starts in this little wooded, picnic area, plays back to the fence line and then doubles back into the picnic area once more. There is a nice large course sign complete with map. The baskets are the popular choice in these parts, Monkey Trap baskets, with these particular ones being a lovely shade of yellow.
The course is beginner short with four holes under 200' and only # 8 playing over 300'. I think I might nominate # 9 as my favorite hole here. It's 289' and plays over a pretty little valley. # 4 also plays over this same valley. There are fun little Ace runs as well as few other holes which present more challenges.
If there were ever any park users here, a couple of holes might present a safety issue. # 4 with its double Mando, plays over the park road and past the restrooms. 6 & 7 both play over park roads.
Cons:
Rec/beginner lengths and challenge.
There are a couple of holes where a really, poor errant throw could end up over the fence.
Kind of confusing, when you first turn off the highway and drive into this parking lot and wonder where the actual park is?
Other Thoughts:
This is a wonderful little course for Grandparents Day, rank beginners, one-disc wonders and the occasional red-headed step child. Not recommended for advanced players, better players or anyone taking themselves or their game too seriously. For a washed up old rec player like me, I love this course like a back-alley hooker loves her crack!
