Other Thoughts:
It's only $2 a person to get into the park for a day pass. Well worth it to play this old school course.
This course use to be just 9 holes with another nine near the museum. That section of the course was closed so they finally added 9 holes to this section for a new 18 hole course. The park ranger I talked to said they finished up only a few weeks ago.
This is a mostly family friendly pitch and putt course. I say family friendly because most of the holes don't have major rough or water hazards near them. But a few do. Kids errant shots will mostly be ok except on a few holes.
For an old school disc golfer like me, this course was a blast to play. Every hole is an ace run and played as a par 3 course. In a day where every course seems to try to be longer than the last, it was refreshing to play a full 18 out here in under 45 minutes.
I arrived at daybreak and the gate is not manned until 8am. But there is a QR code that you can click on and pay to get a gate code to get in.
There is a campground in the park and you can go fishing in the lake.
Would I play here again? Yes I would. I really enjoy courses like this. I am old school and love playing par 3 courses where I can get a 2 on just about every hole with the right shot. I also like technical holes where you want to follow a flight path for a shot at the basket. Will all the tree's, this course fit's that bill too. So leave the drivers in the car and enjoy a quick round for just a couple of bucks.
