San Francisco's first disc golf course is located in Golden Gate Park. A tightly wooded 18-hole course, this course is fun for beginners and a challenge for experts. The course has recently been expanded to a permanent, 18-hole course and was officially opened on March 31st, 2007.

From the East Bay:
* I-80 West over the Bay Bridge (there's a $4 toll coming this direction on the bridge).
*Take Fell Street exit/Hwy 101 to the GG Bridge
* Turn LEFT onto FELL ST.
* Stay straight to go onto JOHN F KENNEDY DR., into Golden Gate Park
* From here it's about 1.4 miles into the park on your right. Once you pass TRANSVERSE DR. Marx Meadow will be the next meadow on your RIGHT. You will see a course sign in the meadow near the path and hole #1 tees off from the path.
From the North Bay:
* 101-South over the Golden Gate Bridge (there's a $5 toll coming this direction on the bridge).
* Merge onto CA-1 S toward 19TH AVE/ GOLDEN GATE PARK.
* Turn RIGHT onto CROSS OVER DR.
* Turn LEFT onto TRANSVERSE DR.
* Turn RIGHT onto JOHN F KENNEDY DR.
* From here Marx Meadow will be the next meadow on your RIGHT. You will see a course sign in the meadow near the path and hole #1 tees off from the path.
From the South Bay:
* 101 North towards San Francisco
* Merge onto I-280 North towards San Francisco
* Take CA-1 North toward 19TH AVENUE/GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE.
* LEFT onto CROSS OVER DR.
* Turn LEFT onto TRANSVERSE DR.
* Turn RIGHT onto JOHN F KENNEDY DR.
* From here Marx Meadow will be the next meadow on your RIGHT. You will see a course sign in the meadow near the path and hole #1 tees off from the path.
1st tee: Drive down JFK west to the point it lines up with 27th. Then you can't miss the 1st tee next to the big map of the course on the right.
NOTE: parts of JFK and other streets into the park are closed on weekends!
