Pros:
-Well maintained, cut green grass.
-Dynamic Disc Blue Veteran Baskets donated from the Lions Club.
-Nice new concrete tee pads and signs for every hole.
-Easy to follow the signs even for someone playing this course for the first time (exception of hole 7).
-A mixture of many types of shots.
-Moderate elevation change on the back holes.
-Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced level of difficulty.
-Very difficult to lose a disc as long as you're willing to get in 1-2ft water level.
-Clear and shallow water.
-Not crowded with players or walkers.
-Enough trees to make the player adjust the shot they throw on a few holes.
-A nice protected parking lot that isn't vulnerable to being hit by flying discs.
-Not many forehand holes (Could be Pro or Con).
-DD Practice Basket near hole 1.
-Big sign for the entire course near the parking lot and hole 1.
-Dynamic Disc Carrollton store is ~2 miles away.
-Cart Friendly.
Cons:
-Short holes. 200-450ft.
-A lot of small dead branches and some trash on the ground, mainly the from holes 3-10.
-Not many forehand holes (Could be Pro or Con).
-Could be vulnerable to mud/floods with heavy heavy rain.
Other Thoughts:
-This course reminds me a lot of Vista Del Camino in Scottsdale, AZ (Memorial Championship), except for the length of the course is much shorter. You're throwing along the water and throwing across it several times.
-I played on a Saturday in March 2018, when it was near perfect weather and not many people out at all.
-I wrote this review without looking at other reviews so I wouldn't have a bias or an influence. There is no reason this course should be rated a sub 3.
-This course has the opportunity to be one of the best courses in Texas if cleaned up and using the area on the other side of N Josey Ln to lengthen the course.
