Pros:
Two 9-hole loops. Signs on baskets point towards next tee,
Practice basket and area for warm-up drives.
Nice views across valley from top tees.
Cons:
Down-sloping tee-6 shared with tee-8.
Pretty short - take away the two long downhill/slope holes, and the average is ~200'
When tight, too tight?
Other Thoughts:
The first half of the course plays up, down, and across a grassy hillside, framed by tree lines along the bottom and left, and dense woods along the top and right (where holes 12-18 may be found). Elevation change and/or these tree lines provide the challenge on the mostly-open holes, with only hole-5 imposing obstacles on both sides of the flight path.
Flat number-10 isn't too dissimilar from the front-9, and equally-flat number-11 isn't overly tight, but number-12 is where the stark contrast from the front-9 occurs, as all the holes have very tight throwing alleys, and elevation changes is a factor once again. These final holes are quite short, averaging ~150, so will definitely challenge you slow control game.
Decent enough course, offering a fair mix of (wide) open and (quite-and short) tight.
The title? My Avenger-SS opening drive plunked the top of basket-1!
