Pros:

Isanti Middle School Disc Golf Links is a decent little 9 hole course that plays along the south side of the school for the majority of the holes before finishing on the east side of the school for the final two holes. The course stays away from other activities so it should be playable pretty much all of the time outside of school hours.

The baskets are older Mach III's. Most of them are in okay shape and they catch alright. One basket and pin position per hole.

Wood pavers imbedded in the ground serve as the tee pads. So basically natural tees. These were all OK. Not great but not all rutted out for the most part either. One tee per hole.

The design is decent. There's some elevation and since it borders the property there's a few trees in play on about half of the holes. Interesting enough for more experienced players but it is intended for teens and the design does that well.

Pretty simple to figure out where to go for the most part. A map would speed things up for sure but it's kind of self explanatory without one.

Should always be in good shape since it's on school property. Also should never ever be busy.

Cons:

No tee signs make spotting the exact tee area a bit difficult. The pavers blend in to the ground until you get pretty close to them. It doesn't need tee signs but it would certainly be nicer if it did.

The basket for hole 3 is mangled. Looks like it got hit by a tractor. Literally. Not sure what happened but it's in rough shape. A few others are leaning a bit but are intact at least.

Pretty basic stuff out here. The holes are pretty similar as far as the lengths go for the most part. Hole 4 is just under 500' but the others are all in the 260' to 330' range.

Not playable during school hours.

Other Thoughts:

I wasn't expecting much from this one. It was a bit better than I was expecting though. Quick play with a couple fun holes. If you're near here you'd be able to play this one in a half hour or so. It's pretty hard to suggest this one when BRP and Visionquest are so close though, not to mention all the other excellent twin cities courses. I played it once but I won't be back. If it was near my house I'd play it a few times a year though. Decent.

Warmup/practice course-it is what it is 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Um, baskets.
Wide open shots (you can practice your own darn variety).
Um.... Baskets?

Cons:

Wide open.
Not too many obstacles-except for hole 3.
I think there's too much length for a school system course
No signage as of today.
No teepads (2X6's and flags mark the teeboxes).

Other Thoughts:

This was a pretty wide open course. Not a lot to get frustrated by unless you cannot throw over 250. A pretty basic course which I am excited to see become a part of the CI School Districts grounds, but I was disappointed nonetheless. You basically throw back and forth across the field, down a hill, up a hill, and back towards the school. I was guessing that there would have been more variety down by the river, but it looks like that might not have been the best option.

This is what it is: a course to help gain exposure to the local community to promote disc golf. The baskets are Mach 3's, it looked to me like there will/could/might be teepads installed in the future. I will play this course on the way to Cambridge-as a way to warm up, and get field practice w/ baskets. There wasn't a lot of challenge, outside of the wind today, I would have liked to see some different (more challenging) basket locations.
