Pros:

If accurate at the 140-280' range, you should have a bevy of bird opportunities on this open, flat course.

Views of the Front Range.

Cons:

Flat and open.

Single narrow/natural tee, single basket.

Other Thoughts:

Course is set in the unkept open space at the side of a middle school.

Easy to navigate with a map.

Other than the tennis fence, and a tree, encouraging a spike hyzer shot on #1, there are no shot-shaping requirements.

Other than a downslope drive on #6, there is no elevation change.

Holes 1-3 play on a lower plateau than 4-9, 5-7 are separated from 4,8-9 by a short fence, and there is a hillside sitting above 4-9, so there could definitely be some safari possibilities here to make for a more interesting course.

Worth bagging for a traveller (only a mile away from Cottonwood), and definitely a safari candidate for locals.

Pros:

- Brand new Discatcher baskets with numbers on them
- fairly simple layout that is easy to navigate
- quick play course that brings you right back to the parking lot
- numbered tee pads
- a couple of holes that allow for technical shots that need accuracy
-great beginner course or putter practice course
- Some of the other courses in the area get very busy, if I lived in the area and wanted to get a quick round in, this would probably be the best bet

Cons:

-tee pads are just dirt or grass
- longest couple holes might be around 300 feet but the rest of the holes are average around 200 feet
- most holes are wide open
- not much for an intermediate or advanced player other than putter practice
- a little bit of a uphill walk between holes 3 and 4

Other Thoughts:

For what this course is, it's pretty good. Compared to some middle and high school course, this one at least has numbering and actually designated tee pads. I would definitely bring a beginner here but otherwise I wouldn't recommend someone go out of their way to play it.
