Danger Danger

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

Home made tee signs helped
Decent baskets

Cons:

Very busy park
One of the more dangerous courses I have played

Other Thoughts:

I think every hole had danger on it

hole 1, throwing over a soccer field. And yes, there were kids on the field goofing around when I threw. You also have a walking path if you overthrow the hole.

Hole 2 has the soccer field on the left and a baseball outfield on your right.

Hole 3 wasn't too bad, your only throwing across a walking path.....

Hole 4 Not only are you throwing from the sidewalk, it has a mando forcing you to not throw over the sidewalk. HOWEVER the drop zone throws from the sidewalk. Oh, that sidewalk runs along the right side of the fairway.

Hole 5 has you walking back and throwing from a sideway with thefairways of 4 on the right and fairway of 6 on your left. The basket is right off the OB sidewalk......

Hole 6 is an island hole. Yep, you guessed it, the island is between all the sidewalks. Oh, and you are throwing from a sidewalk and across another sidewalk. The drop zone is even throwing from the sidewalk.

No, it does not get better

Hole 7, throwing from a sidewalk with the tennis courts on the left and a sidewalk running down most of your fairway. There is also the outfield for one of the baseball fields on the left near the basket.

Hole 8, Throw off the sidewalk over the edge of the sand volley ball pit on the left, down a sidewalk with the tennis courts on your right.

Hole 9 of course throws from a sidewalk, OVER the sand volleyball court that some kids were just setting up as I was throwing the hole. (see Tee picture, you can see one of the girls walking to the pavilion also in the fairway) The fairway is across another sidewalk, over the edge of a hill that actually has a mando keeping you from throwing over the pool fence. (see hole 9 basket to tee pictures)

In general, this is your typical small town course. It's not safe by any means and a lawsuit waiting to happen. But it is the southern most public disc golf course in the lower 48 states. The ONLY reason I played here.

Would I play here again? Nope, drive up into Miami to play, skip this one, specially on a nice weather day.
