Pros:
Lazy Hiker is a putter, par 2 course. Each of the six baskets has 3 markers for a quick 18-hole round on this small hill.
- The good news is that you should be able to play your entire round without setting down your libation.
- It's a very scenic, very chill vibe.
- Brewery states each hole per basket (#1, 7, & 13; 2, 8, & 14, etc.) are spaced out at 20-, 30-, and 40-foot lengths. I don't think all those distances are accurate. If anything, some felt a tad shorter.
- No obstacles in the way between you and the baskets. Soooo, you can't blame anything else for missing those putts.
- Course is here for the fun, not for anyone to take it seriously. Although, I'm guessing each group will have THAT guy.
Cons:
There are doggie waste bags at the beginning of the course. So, that might be an issue.
- I can also picture on a nice Summer night the grass area being occupied by patrons. So, the course might be inaccessible at times.
- It's a putter-or-bust course. If you're here for more than that, drinking, or bagging, shame on you.
- Otherwise, course is perfectly suitable.
- Some markers are hidden under the grass. It took me 5 minutes to find all 18 and snap pictures of them. As a token of appreciate for doing the leg work for you, I'll take a medium T or a trucker hat as a thank you.
Other Thoughts:
If I wasn't on a massive bagging day in western NC, I would have spent a lot more time here. Seemed like a good venue.
- Baskets are blue. That's cool.
- If you're bagging, you should be done in 5-10 minutes. Bring 3 discs. Throw from all 3 locations and make a single loop around. I could have left my car running while I played.
- Can't fairly rate this. Wish practice areas like this were left unrated. Any rating I give seems wrong.
