Pros:
-2 Tee boxes for almost every hole.
-Hole 17 is a particularly nice looking hole. Shoot across the pond to a small island.
-Clean park
-Nice concrete tee pads, and discatcher baskets.
Cons:
-Too many holes follow the shorelines of the 2 ponds. I drowned 3 discs, but only managed to recover one. I blame myself mostly since I chose to take the shots but having half of your holes have shots over water is tough.
-The fairways also intersect too much with the public walking paths in the park. I went on a Monday at 11am, and the 2 of us were the only disc golfers, but there was a bunch of times we had to wait for people just crossing with no care in the world.
-One of the ponds is a sewage pond or something, because it smelled pretty rank. The other one allowed swimming and was fine though.
-Hole 16 also has some wicked pine trees just before the basket that like to grab discs and hold them up high out of reach.
Other Thoughts:
-Usually Par 3 courses are on the easier side. Help newcomers get into the sport. Even though most of the alternate tee boxes skipped throwing directly over water, I feel it would still be a little too close for comfort for beginners.
-Not a bad course, but I don't think I'll make the 1 hour drive from Wilmington just to play it again.
