Other Thoughts:
Hitachi Seaside Park is a pay to enter national park that features carnival style rides, food booths, and recreation activities like motocross, mini golf, and disc golf to name a few. The park location is, as you would expect, in close proximity to the ocean and has a reputation for being windy. The disc golf course within the park is to the right of a giant open recreational field where many picnic and lay about. Most of the the fairways are spread throughout the woods, a few tees throw from the giant field's edge into the woods. Like most Japanese courses, the layout and hole distances aren't overly imaginative. The short course uses fairway narrowness and a couple slight variances in elevation to create most of the difficulty. Greens can play a little fast with all the pine straw covering the ground. Clearly, the design is best suited for beginners and senior citizens. Experienced players will likely be bored to tears. Recently, 9 holes have been removed to accommodate for the upcoming flower festival and will likely be replaced after everything has wilted at some point in the early the summer.
