Pros:
Not just a now ace run course from a course built before a disc golf sized disc was made. Had some bathrooms via Porta Potties. There might have been some pit toilets but I did not see them. Had signage in yards unlike most modern courses that use Feet and concrete tee pads. the Concrete looked newer from my guess is the early 1990's or so when most then better made courses installed or had non grass teepads of some kind.
Cons:
The baskets at the time were way outdated homemade things that needed replacing, looks like that is and or was happening. Shame people can't play on one of the older baskets that could have been left at the park as a very short practice hole for historical sake. one hole teepad was fairly close to a train line that if made today would have to be changed due to safety concerns but the basket goes away from the train line.
Other Thoughts:
Respect this course for what it is, made before 1979. Can't wait to play the course when it has modern disc golf Baskets when I get back to Rapid City, that will make some of my putts I did originally null and void due to the baskets wide bottom disc cage. I do feel it gets overshadowed by the top level of play course for the area, Jackson park that is about 2 miles away. This probably makes this course an ideal beginner course 1 it is most likely not used, 2 it is a more open old style park course for most of it so loosing a disc in woods is hard, and is not long being it is city park course.
