Pros:
back to 9 DGA Mach II baskets
Some tee signs/posts
Most holes had cement tee pads with the sponsor etched into them.
You can camp right next to the course for just $10
Cons:
Nothing marking hole 5 tee box.
Signs have seen better days
Other Thoughts:
I did not read the reviews on this course.
I feel like most of them were when the course was in disrepair with missing baskets.
Well, I played it this week, cement tee pads on most of the holes, all the baskets were there. I actually enjoyed my round.
I also happen to camp in the RV spot right next to hole 1 and basket 9 for the night. That was super cool, set up my tent then played a quick round before it got dark and I went to bed.
7 of the holes throw though large trees, but have fair fairways.
3 of the holes I would consider totally open shots.
The course is not long, it's a pitch and putt. But then I LOVE these types of courses.
I think hole 5 is marked wrong on the popular app, it has you teeing off from a dirt road next to basket 5. I personally would have pushed the tee back to a flat area next to the pond making a water carry shot for right handers. Yea, this throws over a makeshift pavilion, but it wound have been a decent hole when it was not in use.
Would I play here again? Actually if I was driving though, I might. Like I stated above, this is a decent little small town course. Yea, it needs some work, but at least the course was well mowed, it still had all 9 baskets and 7 tee pads. (hole 6 still had the OG tee pad you can see in the old pictures)
So yes, I think this course is very underrated at the moment. For a 9 hole small town course, I rate it a strong 3, almost 3.5. it's better than what the other reviews lead you to believe.
