Hyzer around the circle

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 12, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

I have to say, this one is a pretty creative use of space. The park is a giant roundabout with baseball fields, community center and playgrounds with a second ring of green space that has the disc golf course housed within it.

It's 9 blue banded disccatchers with two pads to create the 18 holes and for being fairly basic in construction comes together in a quite pleasant way. It's super flat, lightly park style wooded and has a few spots with low ceilings to make what could be a monotonous course more fun.

Pads are good sized concrete, signs are accurate and on both sets of pads.

Holes are mainly between 230-350 and though it plays in a counter clockwise circle the righty hyzer shot is only slightly more common than other shapes.

Decent amount of parking by hole 1.

Cons:

You have to cross somewhat busy roads after basically every hole, some easier to cross than others.

There are a couple of spots where aggressive or long shots can find the road. And the road has many cars. You could easily hit some.

Slight docking for being an "18" that only has 9 baskets. It's not bad but I was expecting a full 18 by the listing.

Other Thoughts:

It's fun, and mostly approachable for many players, but beginners could have a tough time with a few shots and experienced players could get board at times.

Perfectly simple 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Tee pads are large and uniform, signs are marked well with accurate distance and clearly labeled obstacles. Easy navigation around course. Grounds have been up kept so discs can easily be spotted and pretty much litter free. Tons of parking all the way around. 18 baskets with 36 holes. Uses all of the limited space available. Club members were very helpful

Cons:

Each hole can only be played by one group. Meaning 9 groups total. For the most part you can find the next tee, but a point in the right direction to the next tee would be nice. Crossing the street could be dangerous. Use caution.

Other Thoughts:

This course was vastly improved, it's layout is amazing and simole. You can get in for a quick 9 or okay a whole day. The detail on the tee signs are amazing, and the place really looks uniform. Great job on the redesign John Apsey
