Pros:
This is a good 9-hole course with two pin placements for each tee. I really enjoy playing it with the pins in the "hard" placements. Many of the shots require precision, but the recovery shots tend to be easy - in large part because the course is so short. The course was designed for new payers, and makes good use of the available woods and terrain. When played with OB, the difficulty increases significantly. The course has excellent flow, good signs, new baskets, a nice putting practice basket, close parking, and large tee pads.
The park itself is well kept with restrooms, trash cans, and water readily available; there is also a gazebo near hole one where you can wait out rain. Despite being a small, multi-use park, the course does not interfere with other park facilities. Except for the occasional runnaway basketball on 9, you will probably only encounter non-disc-golfers on the walking path.
Cons:
Advanced players may find the course too short and a few shots too easy (8 & 9). A few other shots will probably be frustrating for beginners (4,5, & 7). You'll find significant mud around the creek during rainy times.
Other Thoughts:
This course plays fast, and is a nice complement to the nearby, and much more diffcult, Veterans Park DGC.
Don't let the name mislead you: River Hill Park has no river, and only a very small hill. It is a park.
