Pros:
The design was great. It was very clear someone with experience designed the 9 holes. Nothing felt like a filler or afterthought. I would gladly play this course multiple times in a day.
Course is well suited for a wide range of skill levels.
Baskets are in great shape (New Dynamic Baskets).
Navigational arrows throughout the course.
2 tees per hole to create an 18 hole option.
Fairways are very fair and forgiving, but enough obstacles to make it fun for advanced players.
Water hazard on 6 that is risky but manageable.
The driest ground of all of the courses I played today, so it has good drainage.
Cons:
Tee signs lacked layout, only had distances.
Tees are just dirt triangles. The addition of tee pads in the future would make this easily a 4 star course and one of the best 9 holers in the Rochester area.
On hole 6 short pad, I did not like how close I had to throw to my car. I came within 10 feet of my car while playing a wide spike hyzer.
No visible amenities such as bathrooms for the public.
Other Thoughts:
Hole 1 starts will a simple ace run, followed by another on hole 2. Then hole 3 opens up into a 416 feet hole from long tee or 283 from short. Very unique hole filled with rows of evergreens. Hole 4 is a very cool tunnel shot 218-281ft. Hole 5 is a small open shot through a narrow window near the basket. Hole 6 is the water hazard. The blue requires you to throw over the small pond, while short plays alongside the water. Hole 7is a subtle right dog leg from the long and a straight 182 foot shot through several trees in key locations. Hole 8 is just over 300 feet and most of the hole is open. The final hole is mostly wide open (402-373).
