Short but uses the available trees and some artificial OB (using the driveways) to force controlled shots. Hurricane Ike and various droughts have killed many of the trees that used to fill the park, but enough remain to consider most of the holes lightly wooded - there are few wide-open shots.
Drainage ditches and a small incline to hole 4's green provide slight elevation changes. All tees are concrete as of March 2019. Tee signs have been fashioned from fallen tree trunks and branded with RR course logo.
Hole #4 has an unmarked mandatory rule - tee shots must be to the right of the large pine tree on the left side of the fairway. Hole #6 also has a marked mandatory to the right of the third tree to the left of the fairway. The intent is to prevent shots from being thrown towards Kirby Rd.

Local Directions:
From Houston: Take I-45 south to the NASA Bypass exit. Follow NASA Parkway East to Kirby Road and turn left. Turn right at the second driveway at the Taylor Lake Village City Hall and proceed to the parking area in the community park. The park driveway is one way, so be sure to proceed to the northernmost driveway in the park to exit.
If coming from Red Bluff Rd (either from TX Highway 146 or from the southeast corner of Loop 8) turn south on Kirby Rd at the intersection of Red Bluff and Kirby. Drive past the first driveway to the park - which is exit only - and turn left at the driveway in front of the City Hall building.
