Pros:
- Brand new baskets
- Tight lines and open bombers
- Variety of left to right/right to left holes
- Nice walk by the river
- Lots of potential for expansion
Cons:
- Tee pads are half turf and half uneven dirt
- Long grass on the open holes/lost disc potential
- Uneven footing, chance to fall in holes that are hard to see
- Long walks between holes make navigation atrocious
- Udisc is a requirement your first couple of times out
Other Thoughts:
We were looking for a disc on hole 1 when someone else wanted to play through. Instead he helped us find our disc and then helped us navigate the course. Turns out he helped install the course and the local club will start mowing the grass starting in spring 2024 which will make this course much better. Also they are thinking of expanding and honestly this place is huge and there is plenty of more heavily wooded holes that could be lots of fun.
Overall a good start to this place that will only get better. If you're trying to bag it, it's not great for that simply because Udisc is a requirement and there are long walks that make a round here take a while. Still it's a very well done 9 hole course and Pocatello has another gem under its belt.
