Pros:

Sahm park is currently in a transition phase it seems from the old 9 hole layout to a new 18 hole layout. As such, holes 1 and 11 through 18 have concrete tees since they comprise the original 9 hole set up. Holes 2 through 10 are the newly added holes and as of now have natural tees. These are the highlights of the course though, even without concrete tees or signs. The baskets are brand new Prodigy pins very similar to newer DISCatchers but with a lime green band on the top and a reinforced inner layer of chains cross strung in more of an X pattern. These look beautiful but honestly don't catch the greatest. The flow of the course is actually pretty intuitive for the most part. Even and actually especially on the newly added holes. The course is essentially completely flat. However the woods are used to near perfection, again mostly on the newer wooded holes. You will need to bust out a pretty wide variety of shots to shoot well here. As a matter of fact you better have a side arm shot that's on point or be left handed ( for RHBH players) or this course can eat you alive quickly, early.

Cons:

The obvious cons are the natural tees and the lack of signage. I factored this into my review giving it a 3. With the eventual addition of either or both the rating should jump up at least a half. Nothing the designers can do but the lack of water and elevation can make it a little repetitive at times.

Other Thoughts:

This is not the greatest course I've played for sure. But this is a really fun course that only seems to be getting better and better. This is, as currently stands, worth a short trip out of your way to play. And if/when concrete and tee signs are added will for sure be worth a drive to play. Excellent job by the course designers taking the previously unused wooded section and adding 9 new unique wooded holes that fit pretty seamlessly with the original 9. This is an up and coming course in the area I feel. Worth a visit for sure.
