Pros:
9 hole course set up near the high school in Cashton, WI. the area the course is in is pretty disc golf exclusive.
Concrete tee pads, all exceptional. Long, grippy trapezoids. Really nice. One tee per hole.
Brand new looking DGA baskets. They caught well, were mounted properly, and were generally great. One pin position per hole.
If you like tight, wooded golf, this is a place you're going to love. The lines are all fair, but you're going to need good shots to score well here. The first and last holes play in and out of the wooded area, and everything else pretty much lies in a pine stand.
For such a small area, they packed in a lot of great shots. There must have been a redesign since this page was put up, because several of the holes are longer than listed here. Hole 2 is a nice 300' shot down a really tight tunnel. Hole 6 is about 350', with more of the same. There are still a few shorter holes, but not nearly as short as what is listed here, as of now.
Nice tee signs, with all the information you'll need. They help greatly with navigation.
Very cart friendly.
Cons:
The navigation is a little wonky in the middle of the pine stand, but nothing that isn't easy to figure out. Basically, a lot of stuff packed into a smallish area.
No bombers type holes here...all technical golf.
It's a flat piece of land. Not much to be done about that. No water, either.
Other Thoughts:
This was a surprisingly fun course that I played on my way to Justin Trails. It was beautifully mowed, the fairways were all clearly defined, and it was just a fun little spin. If I would have had more time, I would have loved to run it again.
Cashton is kind of out in the middle of nowhere, so not many people will get here....but for the people that live here, this is a fantastic spot to play. Definitely worth a spin (or three) if you're close or on your way to Justin Trails.
