Small town, small park, maximizing space

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 13, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

Cement tee pads
Color Coded baskets
Decent course flow

Cons:

A couple of bad spots for other park users
Tee signs are not in good condition

Other Thoughts:

For a small town, this is a nice little course.

9 tee pads with each pad having two baskets. One is Orange the other is Green. The Orange baskets are 1 to 9 and the Green are marked 10 to 18. They are not always long and short either. Sometimes the orange basket is the harder of the two holes.

This is a park style course with plenty of tree's to navigate on most of the course. Mostly short, there are a few holes that take a pretty good pull to reach.

The course winds around from the parking lot going mostly clockwise around an area that is just disc golf. At least till you get to hole 6.

Hole 6/15 does throw with a walking path to the right of the hole.
Hole 7/16 throw across the walking path, if you throw long on hole 7 you might wind up in a picnic shelter.

Long walk to hole 8/17's tee. In fact, you walk longer than the shorter hole to get to the tee.

Hole 9 throws towards the baseball field. The shorter hole 9 stops short, long throws might land hear the restroom. However the longer hole 18 is a turnover shot for right handed players. This puts the ballfield and restrooms into play if you don't turn it over well enough (fallout zone per ce)

Other than that, this is a nice little small town course. I might have rated it a little higher if it were not for the last couple of holes or if the tee signs were in better condition.

Would I play here again? No, it's a decent course, but not one I would go out of my way to play again. On the other hand, if you live nearby, it's a decent course that will teach you different shots you will need for bigger, more challenging courses.

Pros:

brightly colored baskets are easy to spot, and color coded for front and back 9. Signs are good and legible. Even though this is in a small park, it's not a "city course" ; many holes in the 300-350 range that play up and down the hilly terrain. You can tee off from 1/10, 2/11, 3/12 etc consecutively then upshot/putt out on each to save walking the course twice if you're old and/or lazy like me. Quality mix of hyzer and ani shots, pins guarded by trees on 3,4,5,

Cons:

I really have no room for any legitimate complaints at this time.

Other Thoughts:

This is a well-planned course that utilizes the parks' space nicely. If you are a disc golf junkie , its worth a 50 mile detour to play..
