Pros:
Two tee locations per hole, with excellent signs at each. Multiple pin positions. Baskets in great shape. Practice basket. Good "next tee" signs. Shady with "pretty" undergrowth (lots of ferns, vice weeds). Very nice variety in length, elevation, and turning requirements.
Cons:
The framed tee locations are filled with small crushed stone which was a bit uneven in places. A spotter would be quite useful on some holes!
Other Thoughts:
The first two holes challenge your short-n-wooded technique, first with a lefty, then with a righty. Three-n-four stretch you out a bit, starting and ending in woods, gentle/multiple turns along the way, with a scattered-tree meadow to cross up (3) then down (4) to reach the guarded baskets. Five (and very similar number eight) are short, tight (trees and brush), slightly downhill touch shots. Seven is initially a wide open bomb, but basket guarded by small clusters of hardwoods - do you look for a way through, or go up-n-over? Nine is very long, very straight, slightly up-slope, periodically narrowing, finally reaching a basket tucked a bit into the woods.
Favourite hole: #6. From both positions but especially from the longs, was the most fun - steep downhill through a fair throwing lane but dense trees on each side, then a left turn (subtle from short-tee, very sharp from long tee) to a bit of open space, then back uphill an right to a basket protected by a few trees - have to be "just right" hitting initial lane, when/degree of left turn, then next turn, or you'll find plenty of trouble..
Very solid course - wish it had nine more baskets!
