Pros:
Cement tee pads
New Vet baskets
cement low water crossings
Great variety of shots
For fun, you can play Twyman to make it 27 or 36 holes
Cons:
No tee signs (yet)
Still needs a little work, but it's a new course
Other Thoughts:
This was a pleasant surprise. I played the OG course a couple of years ago, it was pretty much a pitch and putt course behind the school with most of the tee shots off the sidewalk.
Now it is a real course with real tee pads using a much larger area with wooded shots, water shots and wide open bomber shots.
Starts off with a couple of warm up holes, with a few trees. Then you get into hole 5 and you have several heavy wooded shots with a creek that comes into play.
There are a couple of not so good holes. I was not a fan of hole 7 which is a hard left shot. It would take a big skip to have a shot at a 2 hear. Hole 10 was kind of the same thing. You are throwing out of a wooded area, the fairway takes a sharp right and a majority of the length of this hole is after that turn. It's like throw a putter out, then a driver, upshot and putt to get your par.
I do like the tee for hole 15, they have built a platform that has you throwing a left to right shot over the pond, however it would take a heck of a shot to get the 2. Maybe a big forehand could get there, I don't got it.
As I stated in the pro's, after you play hole 13, you can jump over and play Twyman Park starting with hole 6.
Would I play here again? Yes I would. This is a decent course that is only going to get better with time. A couple of the holes already have multiple tee pads and a couple of holes have 2 baskets in place.
