Pros:
The course is laid out to take maximum advantage of limited space in a small, well maintained municipal park. Plenty of trees on most hole to provide a challenge. Mailbox at the first tee that had maps/scorecards, which proved helpful (see below).
Cons:
Tees are marked with small steel numbers on stakes, which are not easy to pick out (hence the map is a big advantage). Natural tee pads with a concrete strip to mark the spot. Homemade baskets need some attention, and the chain layout will cause a few discs sail through.
Biggest beef - If the park is in use, there will be lots of conflicts with other players, to say nothing of other folks in the park. Hole 1 pretty much calls for a shot over the parking lot; Hole 3 skirts the swimming pool; and Hole 8 goes right over the horseshoe pit.
Other Thoughts:
The park was empty when I played, so there were no conflicts. The tee markers need to be enlarged, and the baskets could be upgraded. At the same time, it is a nice little course in an under used small park. Not great, but not too bad.
