Pros:
I will preface all I'm about to say with the fact that I played it twice during a night glow round.
It is a short course, but it at least tries to make it challenging. Most holes are narrow tunnels, and the few that aren't tunnels have some form of challenge.
Signage is great and the tee pads are good. #7's teebox is just a line on the sidewalk, which isn't an issue, just can be confusing if you don't notice the tee sign.
Cons:
There really isn't much that could be changed to make is harder, nor do I think they want to change it, since Fairfield Bay is a retirement town, not a disc golf Promise Land. But there are some holes that are just too easy. #5 is a wide open 225ft shot in a clearing, its only challenge is it is up hill, which doesn't make for too much of a challenge. #7 is wide open with only a small tree on the right and around 200ft. And #8 is in the woods but the lane is so big, the trees aren't really a factor. Like I said, there isn't much to do to make them harder, it's just disappointing for 3 of 9 holes to be pretty much automatic birdies for any skill level.
I played as a glow round the night before a tournament that was played on temporary courses in town, so I didn't have to pay. But there is a shack next to the first tee where is says it is $3 plus tax per round and since it's next to a putt putt course, it is staffed during open hours. I may pay if I was just in town for a day and wanted to play, but if I lived there, there is no way I would pay that. The town is a retirement town and consist mostly elderly people, I can't imagine they make any real revenue from charging people, so just let it be free.
Other Thoughts:
Great little somewhat-challenging course. If your discs are like mine, and have tree magnets in them, it will be a rough time, but it is fun to try and ace them (All 9 holes could easily be aced). There just really isn't a reason for it to cost money.
