    Disc Golf in Finland

The sport is extremely popular because it's cheap, very easy to get into, courses can be found all around and it's good exercise for anyone. On the courses you see people of all ages, ranging from 5-year-old kids to elderly in their 70s. People find it a fun game and get hooked. Every player is...

    [Compare] Force vs XCaliber

Uff.. just bought a new max weight ESP Force and it's nothing like they used to be.. this thing turns over way too much even in the slightest headwind even though I tried to pick the most 'overstable' one. This one flies very similar to my 6 years old Star TL. Hadn't used a Force for a couple of...

    Trouble with a R>L Headwind

Right to left headwind is probably the hardest wind to throw into for a RHBH thrower. Too light a disc and the wind will turn it over too much, too understable and the same will happen. If the disc is too overstable, the wind will push it hard to the left. Throw nose up and the disc will get...

    Strateegery: Approach

A hyzer with a Zone or an Aviar, whichever feels better that day.

    [Drivers] LONGEST DRIVER YOU'VE THROWN

Got one domey, not so stable 400s D1 that just bombs. Put a tad bit of hyzer on it and it will turn over nicely and fade back.

    [Drivers] Late Turnover Driver

I wouldn't really try to throw such shots with a driver. They tend to fade when thrown with little power even if it's an understable disc. If you throw them with more power they will turn too early. I personally try to avoid throwing those shots with a driver (if I throw bh) and use an...

I believe FAF = flat as f***, SAS = stiff as s*** Apparently some were a bit quicker :P

    [Drivers] Predictable understable driver?

I use either a beat TL or a Wildcat, depending on the height of the throw. To me the Wildcat is amazing. It will flip over and glide to the right (rhbh) even when thrown high on a hyzer. You should give that one a try, it's a very underrated disc.

    [Prodigy] X1 Driver

Alright, well... yeah. Got one today for field testing and IT'S INSANELY STABLE! It's like a flat 12x firebird on steroids! I throw pretty far but all this disc wants to do is eat the ground rather than fly forward. Doesn't matter which angle you put it on, it will fade back very hard. You can't...

Help with driving - angle of flight

Hard to say what's wrong without a video. Most people I see on the course with similar issues to yours have a way too long last step which causes their upper body to lean back a bit.

DG shoe addicts, share your expertise!

Salomon Sense Mantra Got a pair of these a month ago, used every day since, no signs of wear. A VERY tight fit. I usually wear 10-10½, the ones I've got are 11 and they are still pretty tight. Super lightweight and good traction on all surfaces. Don't provide much support or protection, so I...

[Putters] Premium or Baseline Plastic Driving Putters?

Baseline all the way. I use McPro Aviars for putting, most short drives and upshots, DX for water hazards. Premium plastics get way too slippery when wet or cold.

[Question] Why doesn't everybody throw this disc?

That's got to be the Discmania DD. Don't remember seeing anyone else throw one, although it must be one of the most consistent discs in any wind. Well, it doesn't go as far as some other discs, but who would always go for max d, eh? Mids, Coyote. The old ones.
