The Ask MJ & Comet Love Thread

Hey, Michael! I have a question about the Banger-GT plastics. I currently have a few D and one Elite X-Soft and I'm looking for some new ones to use for approaches. How do the D and Elite X-Soft compare in stability when new and how they break in over time? And some Comet love again! Last...

    Comet lovers

Yeah, I use it for forehand. I only use forehand for approaches though and I dont have that much power. But I like that it hardly fades and that it glides nicely at slow speeds. I started using the Comet for FH anhyzer approaches but now also straight approaches when FH is my best option.

    Comet lovers

Got my first Comet ace today! Green and sparkly 180g Elite X, 210 ft, under the hanging branches and smack bang in the middle of the chains! Oh its a beautiful thing! My buzzzes in the bag are getting fewer and fewer and the ones that are left are hardly used anymore. One newish overstable Z and...

The Ask MJ & Comet Love Thread

Hello from a Swedish fan! I have finished reading the entire thread while awaiting the spring and more disc golf friendly weather. I have a few questions about your throwing motion and spin. Do you actively extend your wrist in the throw or do you just keep it loose and let it whip out on its...

The Rattler Run (or other lids)

Recently I have discovered that I actually can throw a quite straight and smooth forehand with the Rattler. I have noticed that the backhand and forehand throws seem to have different lines. It almost seems that the forehand hits a better line for running at the basket and leaving a short...

The Rattler Run (or other lids)

Thanks! Always nice to hear others thoughts. I think your're right about the weight. I have tried rattlers in 163, 167, 175 and 178 grams. My throws are a bit unconsistant so its hard to tell but I haven't noticed any big differences between the weights. The biggest difference is that the...

The Rattler Run (or other lids)

Hi everybody! I have been using the Rattler for almost as long as I have played disc golf. For the first couple of years I struggled to control it but now I use it for almost all approaches but I never seem to get it in the chains on those shots. Now I'm trying to develop my "Rattler Run...

    [Recommend] Discs for young beginners

Ok, thanks guys! I'm leaning towards the 150 g Wedge and a Stingray now. Do you think the Stingray would be good in 150 g as well (for the older)? The only heavier i can find in my store is 180 g.

    Disc wobble = OAT?

Yes, from what I understand. I would describe it by making a mental kebab for the barbecue. You take one slice of sausage and put a stick right trough the center of it perpenicular to the slice. Now you can twist the kebab-stick between your fingers and the sausage slice rotates nice and on its...

    [Recommend] Discs for young beginners

Thanks! Good suggestions! I had overlooked the Wedge but it will be good in 150g for the 8 year. So now I'm leaning towards 150g Buzzz or Cobra for the older one. Wouldn't want him to start flipping and rolling it too fast.

    [Recommend] Discs for young beginners

Hi! I'm looking to buy discs for my brothers in law (8 and 14 years old). We were out throwing a beat up old 175g XS and a 167g Rattler the other day and I was impressed with their distance. I have seen adult beginners struggle to get the same distance as these kids in the beginning. The older...

    Unique design DIY basket

I have looked at a lot of homemade baskets. But I don't think I have seen that gallery. Can you give me a link?

    Unique design DIY basket

Thanks! The bottles on a stick is for sure simper and cheeper. But it doesn't catch the discs for easy collection. Great if you want several targets for a small course or to practise long putts that often miss the basket anyway, though. And a good alternative to the "rope on a tree" target...

    Unique design DIY basket

Hi boys and girls! I have been wanting a practice basket for long time but didn't want to spend so much money on something so low tech. I have now made a basket that works for putting practice and it didn't cost more than 20 Euro (variants can be made for almost nothing). I should probably say...
