No, I mean I release the disc from an underhand position. Like slow pitch softball if you've ever seen that. I hold the disc vertical by my side, with the tips of my index & middle fingers on the rim, thumb on top of the rim, then just 'sling' it from that position. The disc is thrown and flies...

As I've continued to practice this new technique I'm not getting the boost in numbers I initially hoped for, but its still an improvement so I'm sticking with it in hopes the trend will continue upward as time marches on.

I play all my DG with just a few discs in hand; that's the way I've found I get the most enjoyment. The course I always play is pretty short so it works with just 2 or 3 DX discs, all under 150g, throw & go, a good walk thru the park. Every time out I make at least one unexpectedly good throw...

What are you maxing out at now? When you started this thread almost a year ago you said you were at 230, curious to see what you're at now (how much you've gained).

That may be true, but so far this new technique makes considerbly more putts than my previous technique. The proof is in the putting ☮️

In my short time playing DG (purely recreational) I've never nailed down putting, even from short distances. It's always been a struggle for me to get a consistent release; I either release late and miss right or release early and miss left or release low and bang the side of the basket or...

I have…today at least. Had a little free time today so I went to my ‘home course’ to get in some practice. Long story short, this is what I saw when I got to #15…cars parked directly in front of the teepad & a wedding set up in the fairway. I skipped that hole :)
