Innova dude that runs a lot of tourneys here had a couple of g-star Gorgons at league yesterday for folks to test. Threw them a couple times both BH and FH without warming up.
Initial impression is it's a legit noodle arm delight for BH at least. Turned over pretty easily throwing FH but...
Protoflyte is local and I felt up their discs at the Norman pro am a while back. They also had a sample of the plus, neutral and minus discs at a local shop and they let me throw each a couple times in the field. I think they rate them as 12 speed.
Plastic is very interesting, kinda flexy...
I didn't look them over closely, was kinda in a hurry to warm up. They all seemed to be flat, unlike the 1.2 that had some with some. Probably be able to pick up a couple more at their next events.
Got a 1.3 Helio Vela in a players pack and it might be the perfect OS Eagle. Flat with a little shoulder, firmish halo plastic that's kinda gummy, tiny bit of flashing easily removed. Beautiful vibrant colors. Pretty spot on to the 7/4/-.50/3 numbers, good glide for an OS disc. I need a couple...
Couple TP Comets, OG DX Eagle, X Wasp and an Aero. All from the disc "estate" of Don Olow, apparently on OG discer from southern California.
I assume the Aero is the oldest, anyone have info on it?
I'd like a CN Reactor and can't find any. Where did you get it?
The first eclipse runs were beefier than any that I've tried since, including the Elaine King eclipse. Anybody know of another OS Reactor run?
Got a new BarsbEagle in the champion color glow halo plastic (ccgh?). Plastic is pretty sexy - kinda gummy and flexy and glows brighter than any Innova I've ever seen. I don't really play night golf but CG is my favorite plastic, this stuff feels nice.
Kinda expensive but I dig Barsby and Eagles.
Found a barely thrown 22 OTB eclipse Wave in the used bin and I thought folks were exaggerating how OS they were. Threw it a few times in the yard and yeah, reminds me of a PD more than anything. Love the eclipse plastic and flat profile but I already bag a couple PDs. Might try to find room in...
