El I am a very health conscientious person and I am glad that, my safety may me the driver of most of the "this wont work replies". let me say that I plan on doing a lot of research and will not put my self in any unneeded danger. After all what good is making golf discs if I cant use them cause...
When I chose the whippet I was looking at Innova's page and it says there that they only make it in dx. After digging a little deeper I think I will end up buying one. Found a nice pink 07 mid nationals cfr disc online and if anyone will better 25 bones let me know.
I like the idea of making a...
based on the replies by Mattkav, Dave, my dad (he worked in plastic molding for a few years) and a short search injection molding is out of the question. It is way to involved and would most likely require me to build a 4 or 5 hundred dollar machine. I am still eager to try out my original idea...
so sounds like I should slow down on trying out putters. Find an overstable driver an, understable mid and should not be discouraged to just keep trying out new discs. I am going to read through the process thread for some more info. Does anyone have anymore info on a trial period or is 2-3...
I was actually thinking about trying to hook up with the flyers this spring. Are you a member? what kind of events do they do I know about the Brent Hambrick but not really much else.
I have played osu tons of times it is not a bad course. I said I have a small arm so I don't use drivers and I can drive my mids to the pin on most holes. It is measured in yards to keep the students on there toes. I like playing it but it is quick and you have to pay to park if you keep change...

Hello and thanks for the thanks for the welcome. I have played most of the courses in town that I know of. So far I have been to Picktown but not the second course in Pickerington not sure of the name. I am also missing marysville and deleware and like 5 holes at hoover where closes the few...
I have a few ideas about adding relief cuts into a two part mold. pour the plastic into the bottom half of the mold and then pressing the top piece on and adding pressure any extra plastic will fill up theses reliefs you could then trim it down and have a disc. This is a one way street though...
This is my first year as a disc golf devotee and I was looking at my stack of plastic and realized I have 25 molds and no repeats. I have been thinking more and more about actually creating a bag of three or four discs that I use all the time.
So my question to all you vets, at what point did...
Elk my dad said the same thing when I said I wanted to try this out. And you are very right about the molding process, but lots of things start off as kitchen experiments before they hit the factory for mass production. Tell you what as i go forward with this project IF I am successful I will...
Fair enough I stand corrected but I am still sure we could find a disc that is not available that people wish were. I also think it is an interesting idea. There was a thread the other day I noticed about saving the 2008 ace race disc i think it was. This may be a better example of a disc that...
I recently was thinking I would like a whippet made out of champ or star plastic to fight the quick wear of the dx plastic. As we know they do not make this disk in theses plastics and, this is not the only disk that "suffers" from this reality. plaster cast molds can be made in a few hours and...
