I haven't personally thrown the Stiletto, but I played with a friend who just got one. It definitely fades hard. My buddy has a pretty strong arm. He got it to cut back and got some big distance out of it. He wasn't consistent with it though.
This is an advanced player's disc for sure.
I'm in Northern Utah and our Hastings now sells Discraft and Innova. Ya it's convenient, but they seem over-priced to me.
I guess if you like Discraft and Innova it's ok. I prefer Latitude 64 and Vibram...I'm shopping online.
I have been using an Innova Aviar Yeti for a long time. I've never tried a Ryno. I also recently got the ABC Money and I love the way it sticks to my fingers. It lands pretty flat as well.
Last month I was searching for my disc in this bushy area of the Providence, UT course and almost stepped on a garden snake.
It got my heart running even though I knew I wasn't in danger of anything. I used to live in Texas so I share your feelings about rattle snakes MoonT4.
I recently bought my wife a Gateway starter set which includes: Sabre (Driver), Element (Mid Range), and the Wizard (Putter).
I also agree with those who have mentioned the Diamond as a good starting point.
For my wife being brand new to the sport, colors were important. Her Sabre is hot pink...
I just started getting into disc golf several months ago. I tried a few of my friends mid range discs and the one that was easiest for me to handle was the Latitude 64 Pearl. http://infinitediscs.com/latitude-64-pearl/
It's light weight, slightly under stable, and I like the way the plastic feels.
So the main thing I got from this is aim HIGHER when putting into a tail wind and aim LOWER when putting into a head wind. Any other big recommendations?
Lost Your Disc too?? Check out this blog post.
So I'm just getting into disc golf. Last week I lost my first disc. It was a clear yellow Discraft Wasp. Now I know better than to use a yellow disc in tall grass with bunches of yellow flowers everywhere...
If you've lost a disc too, check out...
Found the Payson Canyon Course
So I found the course up Payson Canyon in Utah.
It was a pleasant treat. Most of the holes were short (about 200 feet).
I went with my wife, parents and siblings to introduce them to disc golf. There were a lot of trees and bushes, but it was a simple course...
My name is Matt and I'm headed to Utah County for Memorial Day.
I heard there is a fairly new disc golf course in Payson Canyon.
Has anyone ever been there?
How is it?
Thanks!
