a few questions before my first try

First, I'll be trying some basic one color dyes on Z, Star, G Star, and Lucid platics. I've looked around on here a little bit and seen a lot of mention of iDYE and RIT. Which is better for black, red and blue?

Also some pointers on soak times and maybe temps and such. Pretty much I need someone to hold my hand. I feel like Ive got the hardest part of this, stencils, down pat. So this should be nothing.

1) Use Idye
2) Assuming you are planning on doing hot dips, use a mix of 1 pack idye to 20ish oz water. Heat it just until you start seeing some steam rolling off it. Then remove from heat and set your disc in for 45 min or so. That's what I do at least.
